Boxing: Magee: "I may even stop Reid"

There's a simmering confidence about Brian Magee as the clock ticks down to this Saturday's crucial match with fellow top 10 super-middleweight Robin Reid. Gone are the days when the unbeaten Belfast southpaw would, according to promoter Barry Hearn, 'have discussions bordering on rows' regarding the high quality of opposition he was expected to face; Magee now feels like he would beat every 12stone (168lbs) fighter in the world.

The IBO super-middleweight champion told SecondsOut Wednesday: "I just feel that I am the complete package now. I am 29 and matured late in many ways but now I feel like I am ready to beat everybody in the division. Everything has fallen into place for me over the last 18 months and I couldn't be more confident going into this big fight."

Magee even hinted that he may stop Reid, despite the fact 'the Reaperman' has one of the best chins in British boxing.
