It has been a month since the duel between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, but the talk of what-if’s, who the better fighter was and
conspiracy theories cease to die.
Foremost among the ghosts hounding Pacquiao’s failed bid to wrest the International Boxing Federation and the World Boxing Association belts from
the Mexican champion are the two injuries which the southpaw suffered in the brutal 12-round affair.
According to Moy Lainez, TV boxing analyst and senior member of Team Pacquiao, the 25-year-old People’s Champion is still feeling pain in his left
fist -- the one Pacquiao used to jar Marquez with in the first round.
“Nu’ng pinaospital si Manny, wala namang bali o sprain ’yung kamao niya. Talagang nabugbog lang kaya masakit-sakit pa hanggang ngayon,” Lainez
said.
Pacquiao’s feet, says Lainez, are much better, but with the help of a sock company, Pacquiao is not taking any chances come his next fight.
