When you wear the No. 1 sticker on your back at the Lehigh Valley Velodrome, you better be ready to back it up.
Jame Carney and Becky Conzelman both sport the bull's-eye that comes with being the reigning Morning Call Rider of the Year. And on Friday night, both
riders proved why they are No. 1. There were six events for the professional riders — three for the men and three for the women.
Between them, Carney and Conzelman won all of them.
The biggest event of the night for the pros was the Men's Mid-Atlantic Points Race Championship. Carney, who excited the crowd by emerging from the
middle or back of the pack on numerous occasions, finished the 60-lap race with 56 points, while Dan Larson, Bobby Lea and Kyle Wamsley finished out
the top four.
