Warriors sack Kemp
Sportal
New Zealand has reacted swiftly to its disappointing NRL season by sacking coach Tony Kemp.
Assistant Ivan Cleary has been appointed as Kemp's replacement after the Warriors only managed 11th in Kemp's first full year since taking over from
Daniel Anderson.
Several key players have left the club, prompting calls for Kemp to step down. Inconsistency has also plagued the team, which won 10 out of 24
matches.
Warriors management confirmed football development manager John Ackland will be the new assistant coach while Kevin Campion completes the coaching
team as skills coach.
Kemp's contract still had a year to run.
