GLASGOW 26-28 MUNSTER
Referee: N Whitehouse (Wal). Attendance: 2,625
FOR THE second time in a weekend a Scottish side put together arguably their best performance of the season and still came off second best.
The signs of improvement are unquestionably good, but this was even more agonising than the Borders’ narrow defeat to Celtic League leaders the Ospreys the night before. While the Scottish teams showed the same work-rate, and same impressive improvement in basic skills and decision-making, Glasgow unearthed a more potent attack with Sean Lamont, in particular, in scintillating form.
There were also good displays from centres Andy Henderson, voted man of the match, and Graeme Morrison, while openside flanker Donnie Macfadyen had another great game in a pack which matched the huge, Test-standard Munster eight.
