Cricket: NO BEST, NO EDWARDS FOR BARBADOS

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados - West Indies fast bowlers Tino Best and Fidel Edwards were palpably missing when Barbados named their 14-member squad for next month's West Indies limited-overs cricket championship.

The 23-year-old Best and the 22-year-old Edwards are still recuperating from back injuries sustained during the West Indies' recent Test tour of England.

Though the two fast bowlers have played limited-overs internationals for West Indies, they are not permanent fixtures in the Barbados limited-overs squad.

Edwards has just one match under his belt for last year's beaten finalist and Best is yet to play.
