The West Indies have omitted their senior seam bowlers Merv Dillon and
Corey Collymore from the squad for the Test series in England.
Uncapped duo Dwayne Bravo and Sylvester Joseph, who have both played one-day internationals, are named in the 16-man party for the four-Test
series.
Without Dillon and Collymore, the West Indies have selected youngsters Ravi Rampaul and Jermaine Lawson.
They join left-armer Pedro Collins, his half-brother Fidel Edwards and Tino Best in the pace attack.
Off-spinner Omari Banks returns after missing the Tests against England, when Michael Vaughan's side won 3-0.
But there is no place for batsmen Ryan Hinds and Ricardo Powell, who faced England in the recent series in the Caribbean.
Squad: Brian Lara (captain), Ramnaresh Sarwan, Chris Gayle, Devon Smith, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Dwayne Smith, Ridley Jacobs, Ravi Rampaul, Tino Best,
Fidel Edwards, Jermaine Lawson, Pedro Collins, Omari Banks, Carlton Baugh, Dwayne Bravo, Sylvester Joseph.
