New South Wales are chasing former Zimbabwe cricket captain Heath Streak to play for them next season.
NSW are looking for an experienced pro following the announcement by Michael Slater on Wednesday that he would join Steve and Mark Waugh in
retirement.
Michael Bevan's decision to switch to Tasmania has also rocked them.
Cricket NSW chief executive David Gilbert on Wednesday said he was "very interested" in securing 30-year-old Streak, who has 202 Test wickets.
