Football: Pele's son returns to jail

Pele's son has been arrested on money laundering and drug charges related to his alleged involvement with drug traffickers, authorities say.

Edson Cholbi Nascimento was detained on a temporary arrest warrant in his apartment in the port city of Santos, 75km southeast of Sao Paulo, said Kelly Cristina Pinheiro, a spokeswoman with Sao Paulo state's public safety secretariat.

The former goalkeeper spent six months in jail last year after being arrested in June in a sting operation designed to dismantle an alleged drug gang operating in Santos. He had been out of prison since December 17 pending his trial.
