Was listneing to TalkSport ( Uk radio station ), today, and they said that there are plans to have a microchip inserted into everyone.

This is somthing that has been thought up in the US and is VERY VERY likely to passed as law into the US and UK within the next 3-5 years.

It sounded stupid to me, but they had distinguished guests and indeed politicians justifying it.

The chip would be instered into kids when they are born, and would have details like - blood type, name, date of birth....

As the child grows, new info is sent to the chip, to the point where your credit card is no longer a card, bu t simply a part of the chip, so u just run ur wrist over the rreader. Mastercard has said they would give this idea their full backing and help finance it.

The UK govt is saying that this would be a fool proof alternative to the ID card system being currently mooted.

Has anyone else heard about this ?

I never hear of microchips being installed on people when they are born, or for whatever reason. This is becuase they never discuss it on regular media television, which I think they never will discuss openly on the big media empires.

The only places I hear of the microchips is on cyberspace/internet, and I believe it is a real possibility and that people want to actually do this.

In January 1999 a man encased a chip in glass and had it implanted
in his arm. It was there for 9 days. It allowed him to have security
access to his business, turned on lights in his office and computer.

I have heard stories that this type of chip will be used in future militia
to give gps status in addition to health.

Heck they already have identifiers implanted in cats and dogs.

Edit: Just found the article

(IDG) -- Is the human body a fit place for a microchip? The debate is no longer hypothetical. The same computing power that once required an entire building to harness now can be inserted in your left arm.

Better yet, somebody else's left arm.

Make no mistake about it. This is coming. It was planned long long ago and with the "War on Terror" raging, it will be pushed through realitively rapidly. I read about this back in the 70's. The technology has been around for 10 years to do this, it's just now coming into fruition because people are getting used to electronics throughout their lives.

Now, do you really want to be freaked out?
Read Revelation's Chapter 13.

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." (Revelation 13:1618)

Read up on it and then let the discussion begin...

One final note, this can be very scary to read about and most people DO NOT want to hear about it. But everyone should as this IS the Mark of the Beast. The only way to avoid it is to drop out of society (which is what I plan to do when it becomes standardized)

my dog disapeered today, i called the pound and they said that If my dog is brought to them before we are alowed to have her back she has to have a chip put in her, of course well have to pay for it.
the idea of this is completely horrible. it may have a few benefits but for the most part
. the thought of being able to be found anywhere bugs me out. but just like my dog, if you dont get it when the time comes you wont be allowed to see your familly either.

Microchips are not nanotechnology. Nanotechnology, by difinition is the construction and manipulation of nanites. here is my thread on the idea of cybertech and implantation.

ID chipping is one facet that can have the Revelations fans going wild. The Bible ones, that is, not the sci-fi buffs.

But brain augmentation chips are a more interesting application in my opinion.

I wouldn't want to have a chip put in me. The thing I don't like about it is that you can be track everywhere you go, and the way technology is getting smaller you wouldnt know what else can be put in it.. If it did become a law in the US, that is a law I would break.
