Leeds United have denied reports that they are inviting an auction for their England international goalkeeper Paul Robinson.
With Premiership champions Manchester United and runners-up Arsenal both in the market for a new keeper, Robinson continues to be the subject of
intense transfer speculation.
That has been fuelled by comments from Robinson himself that he is uncertain about his future at Elland Road.
In addition, there have been requests from Robinson's agent to negotiate a new contract for his client.
Nevertheless, Leeds are denying they have any intention to part with another of their prize assets and are certainly not attempting to spark a bidding
war.
A club spokesman said: "That's absolute rubbish."
In any case, Leeds would be looking for a large fee for the 23-year-old from Beverley and as he has only played one difficult season in the
Premiership, clubs might decide to postpone the decision until they see how he progresses next season.
