"An Army intelligence officer was charged Saturday with violating security at the U.S. detention camp for terrorist suspects, the fourth person charged with breaches at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba."

CBS News

This is a slightly long article, very good though. What I don't get is, how does an "Officer" whos "job" it is to ensure all rules and regulations are carried out at all times by all personel, make such a mistake?! Not to mention he didn't get promoted to Colonel by being sloppy in the first place, I suspect he is takeing alot of heat.

Then again he may have just been one of those paper pushing no loads who just brown nosed his way up the ladder, don't matter now does it...

This explains it all, the first article didn't say he was a part timer, unless I missed it. Here is a better article.

Even though I don't like FOX, they did have more to say, or less to hide...

I suspect the U.S. is trying desperately to keep a lid on EVERYTHING that is going on at Gitmo.

I think these people who have been accused of treason were probably transporting documents or pictures that have to do with normal everyday life in Guantanomo. Something the current US administration can't afford to hit the papers.

Or, if they are turning, if they are becoming traitorous, it's due to what they are witnessing in Gitmo, and they are dealing with crises of morality.

I wonder what is worse,

being in Gitmo or stealing a loaf of bread in Saudi Arabia?

I would rather steal bread from a baby in Saudi.
