Yesterday two buddies of mine and myself drove to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to watch the Crimson Tide vs. MTSU game....

I couldn't even tell you how many convoys we passed on the roads heading south to the Gulf Coast.....For the majority of our trip - both to and back - they flanked our sides - More relief is on its way thank god...

But spirits were high in Alabama! And I took a full GB worth of photos while I was there....Here are some of my favorites...

This one I played with a bit to make the red seats stand out a little more using selective saturation and an alternative b&w conversion method...

Yeah....I was in the nosebleeds - I had a "seat" at the very top of the stadium, and I do mean the very top...But I just chose to stand...wasn't gonna bother anyone but the birds...

All the die-hard fans were big into their pom-pom thing...Us Seminoles just use our arms

*Does the chop*

The sunset painted the stadium with some very gorgeous light....Given the fact that it was beating down on me with a fury the entire first half, I figure the least it owed me was the opportunity for this shot...

The recently overworked men of Alabama take a break during their security precautions to enjoy a few moments of the game - I tried to frame them within the stadium and the American flag, but it wasn't gonna happen...

This is what an Alabama Wedgie looks like....
- Yowzers....

And I wanted to leave you all with this image....A beautiful sunset, a waving American flag, and thousands of Alabama fans making an enjoyable weekend out of a horribly devastating week...They deserved a good game, and they certainly got one...Crimson 26, Tennessee 7

Oops....Yeah - You might want some action shots - They aren't the best though, as I mentioned already - they were taken from THE VERY top of the stadium....

From the first quarter...

Very cool pics. Woulda been nice to be there. If I go to any of the Air Force Flacons games, I'll have to post some. While they aren't the best team in the world, they are still pretty damn good.

And for the future... I have DSL and it took forever to load the pics. If you could, it would be nice to make the pictures smaller by putting the desired size in with the source code. If you do not know how to do this, just send me a U2U. Along with the smaller pic, you can include the link for the larger pic if someone wishes to view it. But very cool Pics otherwise!

Thanks

Sorry about that...I'm assuming others maybe had troubles viewing them as well.....I tried to keep the images as large as I could while still fitting within the dimensions of the board...

I've lowered both file size and picture size to hopefully speed up things for ya'll

BTW - What a tragedy it was that I didn't have my camera on hand for the FSU/Miami game last night - What a friggin game...

I tell you what, if you've never seen a college football game, go to an SEC game. I've been to Bryant-Denny stadium several times and Bama has to be the most fun football games to go to.

For sure man...

The fans really get into it! And they're all inbreed, so that really adds to the excitment factor

Of course, Doak Campbell makes for a good game too...

I've been to quite a few away games over the past few years, but no one yet has put a damper on the roaring crowds we produce here in Tallahassee! Hearing 85,000 people do the war chant is priceless...

Speaking of the Noles - Poor Citadel....They thought they had a game going until after the halftime...:party-smiley-018:
