great, everyone loves gays, gays are being married now, we have gay t.v. shows, gays everywhere... i wonder if the nambla people are taking notes on how to be accepted as "normal", is nambla next? nambla people wanting their rights too? as sick as america is i wouldn't doubt it.

Homosexuality is a disease of the mind. It is not natural for a species to have sex within the same gender. Gays should be treated , not overlooked by acceptance

Oh Seapeople? The difference between a man having sex with another man and a man having sex with a child is that more often than not, the child is an unwilling participant.

Homophobes make me sick, especially when they say "gays shouldn't flaunt their lifestyle in front of 'normal' people", why not? We heteros fllaunt our lifestyle in their faces ALL THE TIME. On tv, in movies, walking down the street, in clubs, everywhere. They have as much right to celebrate their lifestyle as anyone does.

Oh and gays do perform a damn fine service to this species, they stop it from being over-#ing-populated.

PS. If you think that no other species has gay members, look into creatures like bonobos and sheep and chimps and just about every species on the planet.

I'd also like to know, what's wrong with making the choice to be gay anyway? If some people do CHOOSE and aren't just born gay, what's the problem?
It's like saying you can't choose redheads as your partner.

I got a 30 on the quiz which was a "non-homophobe", but I can tell you 20 years ago if you believe in that label I would have scored a homophobe.

I grew up in a all white middle class area where most people were racist, homophobes etc. When I go back and talk with some of my old friends, I have a hard time believing that I once was as ignorant & small minded as some of them still are.

Lucky for me I continue to learn & grow. Everyone everywhere in the world is all pretty much the same and I like good people & I try to avoid bad ones.

Sex as well as nakedness is a funny thing in America, and although I'm not interested in the same sex I have no problem with others that do.

I'm not one of them so I don't know what makes people that way, but I'm sure some of it is a result of your environment and some of it is just a genetic defect. I say defect because I believe we were designed to procreate for a reason and that's not possible if your gay. Were all genetically defective in one way or another, but being gay is one that's just more noticable.

I got "high grade non-homophobic." I'm not even sure what I think about gays, as in, whether it's wrong or not. I guess you say that I'm neutral.

Ya know I try to not be a homophobe but those gays were hassling me on the subway last night, again. I get tired of it.

I scored a 35--nonhomophobic. You wouln't guess it judging from the number of attacks against me for being so. But, as the test points out, there is no universal definition of homophobia and, in my opinion, there is no such thing, really. Bigotry by any other name is still hatred. Disapproval of something is not the same as hatred.

I scored a 9, I've never had problems with someones sexual preference. Back when i did a bit of traveling I shared hotel rooms with some gay-coworkers the only thing that pissed me off about them was they found more dates then i did .

i got a 43.i dont mind gay people but i dont think it should be shoved in everyones faces.tv does good job of that.straight peeps dont wanna turn on the tv and see 2 dudes makin out maybe 2 chicks but thats another story haha.

I was actually surprised by this, I thought it would be a bit higher, but the average is 30.48. While I don't consider myself homophobic, I do consider homosexuality morally wrong. I'm all for letting consenting adults do what they want, but in the case of homosexuality I think it's a big mistake, but they're welcome to it if that's what they really want. I'm certainly not the world's expert on gay people. I've only met one openly gay person in my life, and he was a nice guy, I got along with him just fine. He didn't hide the fact he was gay, but neither did he go around flaunting it every chance he got. In fact, other than the purse he occasionally carried, nothing he did fit any of the stereotypes of gay people. I know he got a lot of grief from some of our coworkers, though, and there were a lot of comments made behind his back that were downright rude. Two of our employees refused to work within sight of the gay guy, they were so paranoid.

If I saw two gay guys kissing, I would be grossed out, but, then I'd rather straight people didn't make out in public, either. I look at homosexuality the same way I look at fornication. Both happen, both are a sin (in my eyes, at least), but both don't involve anyone other than the two people involved, so it's none of my business what preferences they have.

As for whether homosexuality is a 'disease', as some theories hold, I have no idea. I've read a bit on the subject, and I am still not clear whether homosexuality is something you are born with, or something you choose. I think it depends on the person, I believe, from what I have read and from what my gay coworker, and sociology majors have told me, is that some are born with it, and couldn't change if they wanted to, and some choose it, for whatever reasons.

Some people get to play through in our society with a free pass based on unthinking people and a default setting like this computer..it automatically goes there..no debate possible...

The very word" Homophobia." has been hijacked to be used in our nation by the gay community to allow them a free pass by cheap labeling of other people who speak their opinion. The message from them is if you disagree we label you or call you names to intimidate you to silence. A cheap default. You are not entitled to your opinion. This setting is used carte blanche ..nation wide.

People historically define themselves by lineage, occupation , or some great work they have done and left to posterity. Sexuality isnt it. You have to be educated to be this stupid. Most creatures have some form of sexuality. Its nothing to boast about ... Yet here among us we have this one clearly identifiable group whos sole claim to fame is their sexual orientation and no one even experts seems to think this is strange???? You'd better start asking yourself what is a "expert" . I use this line of thinking often in chat rooms..and it is amazing the name calling and labeling that transpire...however ..no one seems wont to debate the points..it is all emotionalism..never logic and reason. Emotional labeling and name calling to play through. This is a important tell tale marker of what it is with which one is dealing.
Sexuality is however a clear historical marker of Paganism and this history can be traced back through time to different cultures. Clearly. The glorification of sex and sexuality...open...and public. There are clear records of this in the historys of many nations.
Any college or high school professor or teacher who teaches this topic without the whole facts and glorifying this topic is decieving you and leaving out much of the information in order to default through with unthinking minds. They are taking advantage of you.
I dont have a problem with sexuality..any kind....I just dont use it as a marker to define my "greatness". This line of thinking is dumb..hetero or homo..just plain dumb. It is just as dumb when heteros do it , and many do, as homos. Our forefathers knew this..how is it that this line of thinking and knowlege seems to escape us today. Just another way to put unthinking people on a tredmill.

This issue is also being used by politicians to groom another controllable,predictable,gauranteed voting block in high electorical vote states. Politicians constantly look for the next group who can be identified for controllable votes. You people ought to be smarter than this. Its called whoredom. Politicians will whore out anyone or anything for votes at election time..so will the media who shill for them. Get a clue..connect the dots people.

I dont mean to be so harsh ..but looking at the posts ...this line of thinking seems to go over the heads of most of the posters... If this post offends it is not intended to do so...but to make some think outside the standard default settings that pass for greatness nowdays.
