Hell its a stereotype me sticking up for tennis players from my own country but why not? I was watching her 2nd round match against the number 5 seed Kuznetsova and it was a really good game. Although she lost 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 she was the better player and has a sweet forehand

i am not familar with her but it sounds like she is a good player with alot of potential.

As the article says about her being the highest paid sports star in india am guessing all there hopes of sport recognision rests apon her.

Hopefully we can get more stuff on her and it might attract more Indian people to the board

June 22 (Bloomberg) -- Sania Mirza appeared at a Wimbledon press conference wearing a pink t-shirt with the slogan: ``well- behaved women rarely make history.'' Hours earlier in defeat today, she showed the grit that has helped her attract sponsors and made her India's richest female athlete.

Mirza lost the opening set against U.S. Open champion Svetlana Kuznetsova on Centre Curt and won the second-set tiebreak to force a decider. Trailing 5-2 in the final set, the 18-year-old Indian fought back to 5-4 only for Kuznetsova, sixth in the world, to serve out for victory after two hours, 17 minutes. Mirza is ranked 75th.

Firstly she is very attractive.

Now on to the serious stuff. I saw the last match, played very well, she has got good shot selection. Needs to work on the backhand and approach play to the net but looks like a decent prospect.

i read she is a muslim, and is coming under alot of critisicm from a muslim section because she is revealing soo much of her body. I'l try find the article sometime

not sure what world ranking she was before but she recently climbed to 39.

With her still being so young, there is loads of times for her to try and crawl up this ladder. By climbing the ladder shes the first Indian to climb up the WTA rankings higher than position number 50
