can you believe New England? 10 straight playoff wins....after all they have been through this year and finally sneaking into the playoffs, they have to be the best coached team in the NFL

I agree toejam, Belichick is an amazing coach obviously. We will see what happens, I really want to see Manning v. Brady again. Brady gets the job done and I can't wait to see him take that unblemished playoff record into Indy against what has to be a fired up Colts team. Please give us a rematch!!!!!!
I always have to wonder how wise of a decision it is to start a guy who hasn't seen any game time in a over a month!! Gerrard is not Leftwich when Leftwich is healthy and game ready. But that is my question here, does practice prepare you for a PLAYOFF game when you haven't played for so long?

Well, you're going to see Manning vs. Brady again. And I may be in about a .01% minority on this subject, but I think Brady's the better QB. However, Manning has the better offense, for sure, and it really showed when they played earlier this year on M.N.F.

Since New England is NOT going to win 59-54, here is my question: Is there good reason to believe that, still lacking Rodney Harrison, New England can defend far better than they did in their dreadful performance on M.N.F. several months ago?

As I've said, I'm not a football genius, don't get the X's and O's like some of y'all do, etc. So please tell me:

Given that this game will be in the dome at Indi, WHY SHOULD I RATIONALLY HOPE FOR A BIG IMPROVEMENT FROM THE PATS' DEFENSE?

I really want to expect a big improvement, you know.... And I have virtually unlimited faith in Belichik's coaching abilities.

B.H.N.

I think you should expect an improvement from the Pats' D simply because someone else already beat Indy, therefor creating a blueprint for the rest of the league to do the same. A few years ago, once people figured out they had to extra physical with the Rams' WRs the other teams figured it out and that was the end of St. Louis' dominance. It will all come down to emotion and execution as it always does in playoff games between good teams. You and I feel the same way about Belichick, he is the best coach of his era IMO and will have made the proper adjustments. So as I said it will be up to Bruschi and other emotional leaders to get the other guys fired up and then as a unit they must execute. Making Manning uncomfortable is a trying task, but that is the key. He is so good in the pocket that if you allow him to stay there he will pick the secondary apart. I would guess you will see an array of blitzing schemes from various parts of the field and disguised coverages. Basically anything to get Manning out of his element.

Hey, lets hold off on calling him the best ever, or even of his era. I can think of a couple names...

LOL Gibbs. I get the point. I was not discrediting good old Joe at all. If Belichick wins another one would that do it for you?

Maybe, but he's got to actually win it yet.
