Before every season, NFL analysts like to agree on a surprise team. Their selection inevitably involves a young team with a promising young quarterback and an A-List head coach. Past choices include the '94 Patriots, who were entering the second year of the Parcells/Bledsoe era, and the '02 Falcons, led by Dan Reeves and first-year starter Mike Vick. This year, everyone agrees that the expansion Texans, now in the third year of the inaugural Dom Capers/David Carr era, will be the surprise team of the league. But how can a surprise be surprising if everyone awaits its arrival? Surprise - it can't! The only surprise here is the surprisingly silly notion of a consensus surprise team...
