Collins Headed to Oakland? Deal Verbally Reached

Citing the New York Daily News, Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports free agent QB Kerry Collins (Giants) has agreed to a deal with the Oakland Raiders. Various sources have said work still needs to be done on an agreement in "principle", but all sources say Collins has verbally agreed to join the Raiders and that a deal could be in place this week

Raiders will be a better team with him

I hope he does sign. The one problem with Gannon,besides the fact he is ancient,is he can't throw the long ball. Collins most definatly can do that. If the Raiders can get a guy that can throw deep with accuracy, they will be able to defenses honest. That has been a huge problem for them the last couple of years. They knew the Raiders were not going to throw anything further than 10 yards. This should help their running a lot.
I am really starting to look forward to football season. I would not be surprised if they sneak into the playoffs this year.
