Toronto Man Is Charged With Choking Coach to Unconsciousness
Jan. 17 (Bloomberg) -- A Toronto man, angry that his son didn't play in a minor-league hockey game, was charged with choking the team's coach until he lost consciousness.

Bradley Desrocher's nine-year-old son was benched yesterday by the coach, identified by the Toronto Star as Mark Teskey, for missing practices, police said. Desrocher, 47, heckled the coach and then reached over the plexiglass separating the bench from the fans and grabbed him, police said.

``Several attempts were made by witnesses to stop the attack but they were unable to before the victim collapsed to the floor,'' Toronto police said in a statement.

The coach regained consciousness and the game continued.

It was the latest in a series of disruptions parents have caused at Toronto-area hockey games. The Greater Toronto Hockey League suspended a Toronto-area woman from all its arenas after she taunted parents and players on an opposing team by pulling up her blouse, exposing her bra and shaking her breasts at the 11- year-old players.

The problem is that the parents of these children could not cut it as an athelete, so they are living through their children. They want their kids to be great, sign a big contract, and share with Mom and Dad.
