Ice Hockey: Finland vs. Germany

The Finns topped Germany 2-1 scoring a goal with about 5 minutes left. The Germans put up a valiant effort with a tight defence the gave the Finns fits. Both goalies, Kolzig for Germany and Kiprusoff for Finland, played reall well. The Germans actuually outshot the Finns 28-24. Hagman and Eloranta scored for Finland. Marco Sturm scored the lone German goal. Turmoil in the dressing room may be responsible for the rotten effort by the Finns. Finland play next on Friday against the winner of the USA, Russia game.
