Uh Oh. This is not good news for Pens fans.

Fleury heading back to junior team.

Marc-Andre Fleury is heading back to junior hockey, Penguins general manager Craig Patrick announced Thursday.

I guess the Pens just don't want to pay him any more money this year. Too bad. Fleury would have gotten lots of experience.

Yeah, Fleury was suited up for his last game as a Penguin tonight against Tampa Bay. He was listed as the backup. Looks like he did not get to see any action.

you think they should start him?

He should play part time. He needs experience and his team needs to learn to play around him. Heck he gets 30 shots a game, and some of those are not even whole games, so its probably more like 35-40.

He got a game star in something like his first 5 games, which he did not even win. Gave up 1 or 2 goals on 40-45 shots.

Of course the Pens need to learn to play hockey sometime soon, or they could put a combination of Brodeur and Roy in net and still give up 4 goals a game.

Not yet, the prognosis on his hip looks good and he wants to play again next year.
