Baseball: Bonds and Steriods

I see BirdTheBest presented facts, which the hypocrites can only come back with trying to belittle the poster.

Yeah, and I knew when that day was happening that you would seize upon it. What you will be distressed to learn, however, are the following facts:

(1) He subsequently admitted that he didn't know near as much about baseball as me and was merely trying to rile me up for various reasons;

(2) Upon learning new stuff about Bonds' escapades, like the HR distances (which you consistently refuse to address), he could see that Bonds had cheated; and

(3) He apologized to me for our initial nasty confrontation. Having gotten along with him consistently well since then, I like to believe it was a from-the-heart apology, and not one of necessity because of what YeahRight said to him on this thread.

So he's not your soulmate after all. Read them all and weep. And he's a VERY intelligent guy--bright enough that he may die choking on his laughter when he sees your drinking-during-Prohibition/taking-steroids comparison. God knows I nearly did.

Hr distance is proof? And do you have the hr distances from everyone else in this time period?

And lets say Bonds did cheat. So what? So did thousands of others. The HOF is full of them. You know this. Aaron cheated too. You can belittle all you want greenies versus steroids, but i wonder how many hrs Aaron gets without popping? Aaron hit a career high in hrs at age 37 (a rare occurence), with his best hr/ab ratio at 39 (a rare occurence). And this isn't a Bonds love fest. I feel the same on Sosa and McGwire. MLB wanted the steroid use, they did nothing before 2003 to stop it. And none of these 3 ever failed a test. Go after Alex Sanchez and Michael Morse. If steroids helped you hit 70 hrs or 700, everyone would take them, and do that. You fail to account for Bonds work ethic, second to none, MLB hr totals that shyrocked in 98 (expansion), and continued. Even now with the new policy, this season MLB is on pace to shatter the hr record. Pitching has sucked in the last 8 years. You know it. Great hitters will kill these AA pitchers. And they do.
