Baseball: Former major leaguer Mahler dies

Former major league pitcher Rick Mahler died Wednesday of an apparent heart attack at the age of 51. Mahler, who spent 11 seasons pitching for the Atlanta Braves, was a minor league pitching coach with the New York Mets last season and was slated to hold the same position this year with Single-A St. Lucie.
