I'm just curious... but is the US going to participate in Baseball at the Olympics? If they are, does anyone know where I can get some sort of pre-roster for this team?

Unfortunately the US will not be defending their gold medal, as they lost 2-1 to Mexico during the qualifying tournament in Panama last November.

thats how the USA should do its olympics, like the good old days. Like the Miracle Olympics.

I agree. Hockey and Basketball too. I do like the world cup format, just to see who the best overall is, but the olympics should be for amateurs.

also i bet that the amatures and such would play with more heart and determination. What do the pro's right now have to prove, nothing, so they can play half assed.
