albert pujols went 5 for 5 tonight with 3 homers. he also had a double. if he keeps up his hitting the way he has since the all star break you might watch out for him going after the triple crown again.

The Cubbies. Mark Prior was supposed to pitch but wasnt ready so Glendon Rusch made the start and Albert chewed him up and spit him out.

He is the next great hitter, he should be a triple crown threat for a long time. He's going to start seeing walks the way Bonds does if he keeps that up, except that if you walk him you still have to deal with Rolen, Edmonds, Renteria, etc.

Great stuff, Pujols is the man.

Well i hope they don't give him the Bonds treatment. Things like that just spoil the game. We want to see the hitters hit the goddamm ball.

But i guess from the opposition point of view thats the only way to stop these guy's is walking them.

with as hot as the cards are now. especially w/ rolen leading the ml in rbi's and edmonds being hot too you dont want to pitch to any of them. everyone is hittin the ball for them- sanders and womack have been big surprises & last night woody williams had 2 of the cards 3 hits & won the game. you dont get much hotter than what they are now.
