Due to not that great a season in my opinion, the Astro's have fired there manager Jimy Williams and replaced him with former Detroit Tigers manager Phil Garner.

They were pre-season favourites to make it to the world series and they led their division for just over the first month, but things have gone downhill since. They obtained Clemens and Pettite to bolster the bull pen but with the like of Bagwell near the end of his career and Kent, Biggio in the last year of their deals, where do they go from here?. Even Beltran has failed to produce.

Is a new manager the answer?.

Good question Genrou.

It's hard to say what has gone wrong with the Astros, they are loaded with talent both in the lineup and pitching staff, and are still 12 games out of first place behind St Louis, the Cubs, and the Reds and Brewers.

It is very possible that Beltran's stay in Houston only lasts a few weeks if they dont put something together very soon.

Well i for one thought they would do much better than they have. What with the players they have got it's seems strange that they are not doing too well. Are all the players slumping at the same time? Or have they just been unlucky?
