The Phillies could be just a couple of days away from re-signing outfielder Doug Glanville.
Phillies general manager Ed Wade said yesterday that he was "cautiously optimistic" that they can work out a deal with Glanville, who played with the
Phillies from 1998 to 2002.
Hmm, I wonder why they would bring back Dougy G. He was a good player but the Phillies outfield is set with Bobby Abreu, Pat Burrell, and Marlon Byrd.
Maybe he'll be a bench player or even compete with Byrd for the starting centerfield position.
