Looks to me like they're firing tank rounds into a city at night.

Pardon me if I don't particularly feel pride for the murder of civilians. It's, you know, a little pet peeve of mine.

Oh but I'm sure the entire city is full of evil, US-hating Arabs.

Or if it ain't, then it will be as soon as those tank shells land and blow apart some of their families.

That's why they have a coordinate system. To hit thier targets on site. Take a chill pill, at least your behind a computer and not a RIFLE!

Because all targeting systems are infallible. Right. I feel sorry that they are their. I hope they all come home safe. Don't ask me to be glad they're there or proud of this war. I'm not. I wish them all the best and hope they remain safe.

the reason they were sent there....in the first place, was, to maintain peace in iraq.
doesn't that strike u a little odd?? just looking for that speck of antibushmen you just-might-have

remember, no1 would have gotten killed if the bushman himself hadnt brought things to this,
keep that in mind

Fine then, support the troops, not the war. But saying your not proud of the work their doing is like watching someone put up a house for minimal pay in order to help others, then having someone like you walk up and say, "Well, I respect the fact that you tried, but that houses sucks. But don't feel bad, I am your biggest supporter, cause I realize even though the house sucks azz you tried." Just because you don't support te war, support what the troops are doing, make them proud, otherwise they may not want to do it again. And if you really think they and the whole deals sucks, don't say it. And before you jump on me for freedom of speech, that applies to government punishment. There a plenty of citizens that would be mad at you, not to mention the army, and even if they can't legally do anything, do you really want half of america and the armed forces pissed at you?

Ok, I'm done.

Sorry, but I think you have to have a drone mentality to join the services in the first place. Sell myself to the gov't like some kind of whore? Not on your life.

Well, if thats what you want...I warning you, though, there really isn't another way gain access to nuclear sub, tank, or supersonic jet. Just in case your dream has ever been to pilot anything of that sort

The military has its perks just for having the best technology.

It was a metaphorical example, genius.

Always amusing to see people criticizing the armed forces. Apparently it takes a genius to figure out that the typical serviceman does not have a say in who his country fights or doesn't fight. What he does have is a duty to follow the orders that are handed down to him, even when they include risking/giving up his own life.

Some of us might not agree with any wars they fight. That's irrelevant to the point made by the person who started this thread. The fact is there are people risking their lives and any decent human being should wish them well.

Blaming a typical serviceman for this war puts one on the intelligence level of a chair. Congratulations.

I said I was not proud of the war. I never mendtioned not being proud of the soldiers. Please read thoroughly before you attack my statement. I have utmust respect for them risking their lives over there even if I don't support the reasons. Let's not forget we shouldn't even be having this conversation. We shouldn't be losing a hundred soldiers a week. I feel sorry for the families who lost their loved ones and will lose loved ones. It is a horrible situation. But it shouldn't be happening. I wish all the safety possible for them over there. But don't attack me for not supporting this war. Don't assume I don't support the people giving there lives for this. I do. I just think they need to be brought back home.

"Get ready for 500pounds of DEMOCRACY dropped on you! Yeeehaw!"

Save your support for them for when these soldiers get back to the US and have to pick up the pieces of their lives.

Hire one, or talk to one.

And saying "I SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" is not really much, if you're not actually DOING something to support them. Otherwise, it's just words that they're not going to hear.

yes garon, they need to come back home. they're in a dangerous situation surrounded by people who are happy to ambush them, kill them, and drag them around for glorification. i've always felt that someone who drags around the bodies of defeated enemies is uncivilized, and as such i feel that conducted operations on behalf of people like that, while risking our servicemen's lives is a waste of time. like i said in another thread today, pull out, leave 'em a note, and have a good one. bring the boys back home

Not nessicarily. You never know what army wife is listening to your conversation and will tell her husband, or what air force husbad will tell his wife when she gets home. And a lot of people saying one way or another will eventually get the media to start classifying it as the opinion of America, and they will it hear it, loud and clear.
