Thread Preview REQUEST.....Please!

How about having a feature that I've seen on some boards where you place your mouse over the thread title and it gives you a quick preview of the thread starter? I am tired of seeing good titles for threads and then having to click in and see what a waste of time it was to click.......thanks!

Those "other" boards have far less traffic and activity than we do. Integrating a preview into the board home page, and forum list pages would severely stress our server, as we'd need additional database queries to compile previews of each post, and include them in the page so that they can appear on roll-over.

Nearly every PHP template from the original XMB design has been optimized for high performance on ATS, in some cases, cutting the bandwidth required for each page in half. However, even with these optimizations, last month we exceeded 100 gigabytes of bandwidth.

Such a feature would slow down the entire board for everyone.
