September 11th 2001, a day in which we would live in infamy. The last time we similary heard that phrase was when President Franklin Delano Roosevelt stood up on the podium and made his speech on December 7th, 1941. Who ever knew that we will hear those words again...well at least in "Times" magazines. Two Boeng 747's crashed in the Twin Towers. Why couldn't the Air Force send some figter jets up there. Many people believe that the U.S. government played a part in the 9/11 incident. We already know that the U.S. government would act quick in this crisis, or at least get some authority work up in the air. Did the govenment really played a minor or major role in this cruel act? Or are we simply innocent?

I don't know why you or anyone would think such a thing, the gov. involved, surely not.

Just because the buildings coming down looked like a classic demolition, does not mean a thing, just because you can see the charges going off does not mean anything.

Just because NORAD stood down for the first time and did not do their job they had successfully done everyday before does not mean anything.

Just because those terrorist who hated every American actually warned some Americans not to fly on that day does not mean anything.

Just because some gov. officials had stopped flying commercially does not mean anything, just because some actually cancelled their flight plans for the 11th on the 10th does not mean anything.

Just because over 3000 Americans died here on our soil while officials did nothing even though they had plenty of time to do something should not make you or anyone question the official story, should it?

They were 767's

Why couldn't the Air Force send some figter jets up there.

Fighters were sent up. Two pilots, Duff and Nasty from the 102nd Fighter Wing of the Otis Air National Guard Base in Falmouth, Massachusetts, were sent to intercept Flight 11 (first to hit the towers). They didn't reach NYC until after Flight 175 had hit the building. Both pilots were still circling when WTC2 collapsed.

That's just some fighters, there were more.

The minute those planes veered off course they were supposed to have sent up jets, that is the protocol and they do not need anyone's permission to do this. Did you know that some of the recordings of the airline controllers were shredded?

This is the reason why, as Hordon stated, that we don’t have complete access to flight data recorders and FAA tapes, which in the case of a conversation between six New York Air Route Traffic Control Center controllers was ordered to be shredded, because if studies of that evidence were undertaken it would become very clear as to who was really behind the attack.

“What they did is they cherry picked transmissions, communications and statements made all on these four flights that were able to paint and write a story that the public would look at and so ooh wow, this really happened – but it wasn’t factual, it was a story and it tell not tell anything other than what the high perps wanted the public to hear – they cherry picked this information,” said Hordon.

Also those jets that were dispatched were flying at much lower speeds than they were capable of, why?

It is also dedicated to Scott Shuger, who was the only mainstream or alternative media writer, beside myself, who had the courage to write about the elementary mathematical facts (that the two United States Air Force (USAF) F-15 fighters ordered to intercept United Airlines Flight 175 and the two or three USAF F-16 fighters ordered to intercept American Airlines Flight 77 were flying at only 25.8% and 27.4% of their top speed) of the NORAD Press Release of September 18, 2001. Scott’s article is called IGNORAD The Military Screw-up Nobody Talks About. Scott Shuger astonishingly died in a scuba diving accident on June 15, 2002.

Uuuuh Duff and Nasty, the two intercepted when Flight 11 turned off its transponder... eg. Straight away, Were travelling at Subsonic speeds.

There's a documentary on the Discovery Channel "As It Happened - Flight 175" which contains interviews with Duff and Nasty.

I think that was the point, they were flying at far less speed than they could have.

Subsonic means lower than the speed of sound, 770 mph.

You also forgot to mention...

8:53 a.m. - Unaware that their intended target has already crashed into the World Trade Center, the F-15s from Otis Air Force Base are sent to military-controlled airspace off Long Island and ordered to remain in a holding pattern until between 9:09 and 9:13 a.m. [National Geographic]

And this...

At first, the planes were directed toward New York at top speed, and probably reached 600 m.p.h. within two minutes, General Haugen said [obviously they were on a go-slow]. Then, flying in formation, they were vectored toward the west and given a new flight target: Reagan National Airport. [New York Times]

And this...

"If a stand down order were given it probably would have to come from at least as high as the vice president".....

"There was a young man who came in and said to the vice president "The plane is 50 miles out" [from Washington], "The plane is 30 miles out", and when it got down to "The plane is 10 miles out" the young man also said to the vice president "Do the orders still stand?", and the vice president turned and whipped his neck around and said "Of course the orders still stand, have you heard anything to the contrary?"

The fighters were purposely put on a go-slow and sent off target to sit and wait while the towers and the pentagoon were attacked. There was a FEMA training operation going on that was designed to confuse, and it did, people thought the attack wasn't real, just part of the drills, and didn't act.

Their were 2 sets of fighters sent up, 1 that NORAD had sent up and the other was ordered up by the Secret Service to protect the White House and Capital.

The fact that they would tie in the NORAD training program with the actual work going on that day is just crazy. I wonder if that is normal procedure for their training programs in the past. It does not make any sense to do that, surely someone realized that tying in training and actual work going on at the same time would be confusing to anyone and that if an actual problem occurred there would be doubt as to what was real and what wasn't.

Does anyone here know if putting the training and the actual work together is common procedure for NORAD? Surely the gov. could afford to set up a training program separately. None of it makes any sense and the fact that the terrorists just happened to pick this day either means they were extremely lucky or had inside info. .

Yes it was confusing, that is why when the FAA finally called NORAD about the hijakings the duty officer asked if it was an excercise or real time.

Some of the excercises going on that day involved creating false blips on the ATC radar. Also NORAD pulled alot of aircraft out of thier normal patrol area so the area around the Capital and White House were left without thier normal patrol cover.
