Me being a computer junkie, who programs most of the day, never really am in shape until lacrosse season rolls around. I recently had the chance to play the Wii and it was a blast. the graphics for the WiiSports are terrible but the engagement is incredible. However the following day and still today (3 days later) my arm is stiff has no motion. so i guess the main point of this is. if your going to play the Wii stretch before playing. im in pain and its all because i didn't stretch.

Well, yeah, that's generally a good idea for any moderate to heavy physical activity.

Wow, thats interesting. Maybe the Wii will actually result in a net increase in physical activity for people?

Maybe they can make a Wii 'game' that is a warm up set, that has you use the controlers to strech and warm-up before a game and stretch too 'cool down' after a game session too?

Since you're on a lacrosse team, you can probably just incorporate your stretches from that into your gamming.

I have a small confession to make, I never stretch. I'm an avid rock climber and I still don't stretch. I used to when I was in high school, and a part of the track and soccer teams there, but that was only because I had to.

The worst injury that might have been due to me not stretching was a dislocated shoulder, but I don't think most dislocated shoulders are from a lack of tendon and/or muscle flexibility.

I really want a Wii, but I just can't afford it right now. Heh, and to think the Xbox 360 and the PS3 are even more expensive--and they don't even give a person a workout!

I finally played a Wii, it wasn't that intense. I mean you can act a fool and wear yourself out.

Now if they made a bruce lee nunchuck game man, if only.

Yeah I know, you can control it with very subtle movements, but it's better to do it the other way hehe. "Accidentally" hitting the lawyer playing next to me at the mall kiosk was just too funny cuz he just took it(I only did it after HE hit me in the upper left arm lol)

That would be fun. But I want a Lightsaber game first heh. Maybe a Lego Star Wars type game.

Also there is a rumor that GTA might be coming to the Wii! Just imagine the types of "gestures" that will be used in that game.

'Tis true, you can by far control it with very subtle movements. However during the times I've played I've found it's much more fun to actually get into the game, and actually do some exercise. That and it's healthier, I just can't wait for some good swordfighting games to come out with multiplayer.

if that happens I am SO getting one. That would be awesome and so much fun.

I may just get one anyway, I am a little miserable with my PS3 (we won one) as I need to excercise more and a new gaming console that has me still sitting on my rear is something I don't need and I just feel all the more guilty
