The Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) to me seems like a test for linguists. Instead of testing for the hard-core scientists that will cure you
of a disease, it seems to be a test for lawyers. The MCAT has almost no test for mathematics, which ultimately determines how successful or
unsuccessful you were treated. The MCAT is a verbal reasoning quiz with no analogies between diagrams, numbers, and words. It has no mention of
available medications, surgical techniques, or medical technology. It is probably the least practical standardized test I have ever seen. The best
and the brightest should enter the medical field to save lives, but the current MCAT fails at proper filtering. It must be redesigned to ensure the
best medical care for everybody.
