if the governmet really has invented light speed and is hiding flying saucers and alien technology from the public, then its going to be a pain in the arse for hard working scientists to find a way to travel to the next earth for humans.

even if the next earth is mars its still a shot in the dark with todays technology. if the next earth is in another solar system, thats another story. you all know the universe is expanding ever minute right?

that means every year that solar system that could have a hospitable planet is that much farther away and harder to reach. the more we wait the farther away hope for survival goes.
what do you think?

No one invented light speed.
Thewre is no proof that any government has access to flysing
saucers, apart from the conceptual saucer shaped jets of the
mid twentieth century.

Mars is nothing like Earth, that is it could not support a Terran environment.

We are likely to find Earth like planets around some other stars
though.

Yes, the universe is expanding all the time, though that does'nt
mean that the planets in our solar system, or the stars in our
galaxy our moving farther apart, however it does mean that
many galaxies and galactic clusters are moving away from
eachother.

Furthermore, I do not see how this thread belongs in the forum
section, as it would fit much better in the Aliens & UFOs section.
