People are evolving.

Of course. They are a species, and all species evolve.

Especially the younger generation.

That doesn't make sense. An individual or a generation doesn't 'evolve', evolution is change over generational time.

I know I'm aware of it.

You think you are aware of 'something', but that doesn't mean that you actually are aware of something. INfact, if you merely beleive it based on a 'feeling' or some other irrational way, then its really just a beleif, not something that you rationally 'know', no?

A new race, a new type of human is being born throughout all the continents of this world.

What evidence are you basing this statement on?

I wonder what you will say in a decade, Unrealised. p

You have to keep in mind, self-proclaimed indigos have been telling us for years that they're going to be 'totally awesome' real soon. And still, we see nothing of it. After 2012, I am sure that most will say 'its coming in a little while', and some will say 'we already saved everyone, forced a higher dimensional shift, and saved the world, without anyone noticing'.

I wonder what you will say when this Generation shakes the very foundations of the world.

The generations that have sought to 'shake the foundations of the world' and tried to prove something to the other generations, have tended to produce the world's greatest monstrosities and atrocities.

ONE_LOVE, the purpose of this thread was to establish a beacon. Though most, like you, wouldn't understand that.

Grey, most people in general aren't going to understand when you can't properly explain yourself. Its not really the fault of the listener.

From what I understand, those you speak of are still fairly young.

The idea of 'indigo children', even if we eliminate the previous idea of 'starchildren', is a few decades old. The first indigos would be coming up on 30 by now.

Unrealised
There is no wonder why you are called the 'nothing' generation either.

Please remember that this is the skunk works, a forum dedicated to the idea of constructive criticism, and that attacks on another poster aren't acceptable on any forum.

cyberdude78
could somebody please explain what makes you one of the indigo children

There are now no hard criteria for being an indigo child, other than being relatively young (younger than, say, the mid forties perhaps). Originally, the indigos were people that had auras that were indigo coloured. The idea being, auras tell us about a person, and an 'indigo', as in 'ultra-violet, beyond the visible spectrum', aura was a way of saying that the person was hyper-advanced, in some generally undefined way.

, and what's so special about said group?

The basic idea is that sometime around 2012, the planet is going to be in a 'new age' type of crisis, and that the indigos are going to, whether by concerted pyshic effort, or by the mere fact of their existence, cause us to safely 'shift' into a higher 'vibrational' dimension.

And yes, these terms are vague and undefined, because, well, they're supposed to be. "Higher vibrational dimension' is one of those terms that has no actual meaning, but almost sounds like a reasonable explanation of religious/psyhic/occultic/magical phenomena.

Nygdan, thank you very much for yet another one of your helpful explanations on complicated things.

And with that, I can't exactly say I'm too convinced of this indigo children thing. Just seems suspiciously vague to me.

Nygdan.

I have experienced much in my short life time.

Various things that have lead me to the conclusion that I am here to serve as an instrument, a pawn if you will.

I have artistic, and intellectual abilities that far exceed the norm.

I am able to eat up knowledge like a computer. I choose to extensivly study our species and as a result I have thousands of years of historical knowledge in my brain.

Through educating myself I have come to see that time is cyclical.

This is information ancient races have known for their entire, yet some times short, existence.

The Mayans were extremely advanced. Disturbingly so.

You wonder why I believe the things I say. In short, there is no link I can give you. No pieces of literary art in which I can quote.

But I can tell you this. Everything is cyclical. Arounnd 3113 BC the beginnings of trully modern civilization began to emerge. From the dark and cold life of hunter gatherers, humans emerged to build Ur, Uruk, the first civilizations ... and then Egypt, the first great empire.

Just as we dared to break away from the savagry of reality five thousand years ago, so shall we do so again. Just as we made structures out of dirt, lime and clay and raised them to the sky in defiance of the gods that put us here, so shall we again reach new heights and give fate the finger.

Just to tell you Nygdan, I don't care about the general conception of "Indigo Children". I think most of the people who think they are an "Indigo Child" just would like to think life favors them more than the next fool.

When I say Indigo ... I use it to reference the 'wandering souls' if you will. There are people born on this planet that are completely on a different level ...

I refer to these people as my brothers. I am trying to find my brothers.

I know there are more like me with fantastic ambition and various agendas. I know they, like myself, will bring revolution to this planet.

This thread was a beacon of light in a vast sea of darkness, an attempt to see if any of these wandering fisherman would find me.

P.S. Nygdan

This is a quick apology, for lack of a better word.

No, maybe it's more of a FORCED apology because a MOD scolded me.

I don't want to be known as a jerk, but then again I don't want to be known as the wuss who jumps when he's told eith, but anyway, here I go.

I can be harsh. I guess I have watched too many tourettes guy videos.

I guess the personal attack with the 'nothing generation' comment was a little black. I'm only 26, so I'm a young gun. I've been called a loser and a good for nothing idiot before. Usually I egg the persons car who said it, but online I have a little more freedom to blab.

It usually takes a person to point out my mistakes for me to even BEGIN to feel sorry.

So, I'm sorry, from the bottom of my stinking heart.

I just don't think the Idea of Indigo children is really valid. As stated above, every generation promises something different, some new connection with the powers that be, or whatever.

In the 60's it was too much '___' and free love. In the 70's it was too many drive-in movies and slurpees. In the 80's it was too many bad hairdo's and IBM. In the 90's it was the X-Files and Anime.

These days it's a new generation of Computer-fed kids with a sex drive that isn't healthy and a B.A.D dress sense.

I just want to see a better world that we can all be proud of. We have to kill off the dinosaurs in control so that we can take over, but for now as a whole we won't even come close.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this: Only nerds give us the lifestyle we want. They create the Tech and the schemes and the know-how that gives us a future. So, I'd advise that you don't pick on nerds. If you really want to pick on them though, make sure you hurt them good so that they hate the world and fill it full of games that ruin our minds and yet are fun to play i.e ManHunt \m/.

Nerds, Indigoes, Perverts, whatever.

I'll leave with some words of wisdom.

"If you haven't got anything nice to say, think of something worse and be the best jerk you can be."

War.

Hi--

After keeping track of this thread to this point, I felt that it was time for me to jump in here with an "offering". I use that term because that is what it is, an offering, and no more.

You speak of "Indigo" people. I don't like that term, as it is descriptive of nothing. Some say it is an "aural" color, but, there are a lot of people with bluish energy fields that are not "indigo" people. Like I said, it is a more or less meaningless association. The bottom line is that such people actually do exist--regardless of the label.

That said, I will also tell you that there is no "paper" test anywhere that anyone can take to tell whether they "qualify" as "indigo" people. Oh , yea, you see them on websites, etc, but, this is nothing but a bunch of New Age BS--and the world of "metaphysics" is full of that. In order to find that out, you need to personally talk with those who know--period.

Should you find out that you ARE an Indigo person, then you need to know what that actually means, and actually does NOT mean. What it means is that, because of the Evolutionary Process as it effects the Human Spirit, Indigo people have the propensity to learn and understand more, and likely do more with it, than less evolved peers. Understand the "key word" is propensity. Propensity means you have a bent to learn these things more easily than others--but it DOES NOT mean that you "were born knowing"--as is so often stated by these New Age Twinkies. If Indigo's have "power" when they are born, then it is the Power to Learn. That's all. What happens if they don't learn? Then they go to waist, and never achieve their potential. Oh, they will see things, hear things, feel things, etc, that are extraordinary, but, without proper training, they will never achieve control or the discipline necessary for control, use, and development of the available abilities. Sorry, there is, and can be, no "instant gratification" had here.

I'm done--save this. If you want to know more, feel free to U2U me. I'll gladly help you if I can. Just understand the truth of what I said above.

Agree with you Ed Littlefox, above anything it's a great understanding of spirituality and the ability to lead and teach that which is the truth.

It's almost spiritual autism.

In the sense that one can soak up knowledge.

Sorry if I'm raining on anyone's parade here, but there's just a few things I noticed that just seem... normal.

I have artistic, and intellectual abilities that far exceed the norm.

Not to offend you, but I hear that statement all the time from people who're always claiming to be non-conformist. The ironic thing is that they end up conforming with eachother, but that's not really the point. The point I'm getting at is that a lot of people feel that they're artistically or intellectually superior to the norm. I used to think along similar lines, but then I came across ATS and met some interesting people.

And what I learned was that the more you learn, the more you find you don't know.

I am able to eat up knowledge like a computer. I choose to extensivly study our species and as a result I have thousands of years of historical knowledge in my brain.

Once again, sorry but that doesn't really convince me. Fact is, the human brain is a computer. So just because you notice similarities to the common desktop PC doesn't mean anything. And having thousands of years of historical knowledge isn't too difficult, anyone can skim through a world history book and truthfully make the same claim.

Through educating myself I have come to see that time is cyclical.

This is information ancient races have known for their entire, yet some times short, existence.

The Mayans were extremely advanced. Disturbingly so.

Sorry, but you're not the first to come up with that idea. Realizing that time is cyclical simply means you thought of something, doesn't make you any better than the rest of us. I could go and say that I thought of putting pizza in a toaster and then claim that make's me somekind of new race, but it doesn't work that way.

You wonder why I believe the things I say. In short, there is no link I can give you. No pieces of literary art in which I can quote.

Belief without a base never did end well.

3113 BC, that's a pretty specific number. I don't suppose you could explain how you came to that number could you?

Just as we dared to break away from the savagry of reality five thousand years ago, so shall we do so again. Just as we made structures out of dirt, lime and clay and raised them to the sky in defiance of the gods that put us here, so shall we again reach new heights and give fate the finger.

So we're expected to believe we're going to be led to greatness by somebody who's main qualifications center around being self confident and being diagnosed with ADD?

Just to tell you Nygdan, I don't care about the general conception of "Indigo Children". I think most of the people who think they are an "Indigo Child" just would like to think life favors them more than the next fool.

Well at least we're agreed on that last bit.

When I say Indigo ... I use it to reference the 'wandering souls' if you will. There are people born on this planet that are completely on a different level ...

Kids with high levels of confidence that don't like to wait in line and feel that they've got a special connection are nothing new. So far I'm not seeing any evidence that they're on a different level, just that they're a bit detached from reality.

I know there are more like me with fantastic ambition and various agendas. I know they, like myself, will bring revolution to this planet.

Come on, what person didn't feel revolutionary at some point in their lives. Who hasn't given thought to changing the system, or ruling the world. Because what you've just said describes pretty much every voluntary voter in the world.

Like I said, not to rain on anyone's parade but I'm getting more skeptical by the minute. Is there any evidence of this indigo child thing at all?

Yes, there is proof--but not the kind that can be measured by scientific instruments. The proof is, and at present can be, only quantitaitve. It is a "results based" process.

I'll say this again tho, this kind of knowledge is like any other, it is taught, and not absorbed by induction. If you think that, you are fooling yourself, People. An undisciplined, untrained, Spirit can handle knowledge no better than an undisciplined, untrained, Mind. This is especially true in this Day of mass Distractions-- and "Weapons of Mass Distraction".

If you don't know what I mean by what I have said, try sleeping on a Math Book and see if you can do Calculus when you wake up.
