Thanks, I looked at map quest. So was the object to the southeast by runway 27L or was it farther up nearer the terminals?

I was heading north, and the object was to the north-west, over the terminal buildings.

A lot of people thought that particular picture was suspect because it had lights on it, and was near identical to the China UFO CGI hoax of a few months ago.

So is that really what you saw?

Yes, I was on the southern side. Cross street? I was on the airfield. The closes public intersection would be Irving Park + Mannheim.

Very similar. But you're right about the lights. I did not see any. Once again though, it was overcast skies and I was a fair distance away.

I think I follow you. You were driving near the road, but the object was actually over the terminals, not actually the road.

After 11 long hours at work, what better way to unwind than read 20 pages of posts on this topic!

Again, great work with people actually SPENDING TIME to look into this before just saying "it's real" or "it's a hoax."

Might as well toss my two lincolns in to the ring at this point as well.

To me the most obvious explanation is that the pic is REAL. Now what it's depicting ... I personally think a water droplet. This explanation just makes the most sense. I would say hoax, but why take the time to change the occular distortion as well as remove the lights AND change one "light spot" on the runway in addition to editing the sky? Makes no sense to me even if it IS easily done. And I can't claim it to be a UFO because it appears that water droplets on glass look VERY similar to this.

I think we can all agree that it would be easy to edit, and that the exif data is useless for determining if a photo has been edited. The truth is that there is no way we will EVER know if this is a UFO pic unless more people come forward. There is not going to be disclosure of any event of this magnitude without hardline evidence AND eyewitness testimony from MULTIPLE people that can back up the evidence.

So I will continue to read this thread but I will not offer anymore advice/insight because at this point, without 0000000 coming back to discuss it, I've filed it under the "eh, who knows" category.

There is just too much about this event for it to not have actually taken place in my mind. THEN AGAIN ... I have yet to hear one eyewitness testimony STRAIGHT FROM THE PERSON'S MOUTH ON CAMERA. No names. Nothing other than the words of some reporters and that there was a supposed "weather phenomenon" by the powers that be. Something still doesn't smell right here ... I just don't know what it is ...

Just some words of warning as well: You are guaranteed to cop some flak from some members here in relation to seeing this object, and you will be basically interrogated until we verify your story, so i apologize in advance for that. Just tough it out and answers any questions truthfully and you'll be fine.

It is just fair skepticism, and i'm sure you can understand the position we are in with this story being a major news piece and this forum in particular being broadcast over the world on Radio. We have to verify any sources we come across. I wish you luck

You linked to that picture and identified it as the thing you saw, and then when someone posted it and asked you again you said 'no'...?
