Something odd about this video from a firefight in iraq

This could be nothing, but look at this Video whats that blue flash befor the "boom".. Just dont look like any missile/bomb i ever seen

probably cause the camera is right above the barrel and its the discharge and stuff

IMHO it is an ATGW of some sort - it certainly is not a motar as claimed in the vid caption

the reason you see a " blue flash " is that the camera is looking along the flight path - looking down

and that " blue flash " is the ignition of the main rocket motor of the round - you only see a flash because the " frame rate " of the camera is not fast enough to image the rocket .

as the missile launch post is some distance below the camera the camera does not capture the discharge of the " booster charge " as it propells the round out of the tube
