Is there a law about having missiles too close to a school?

Like drugs or firearms 1500 feet or whatever, but i go to school in california and sometimes the teachers would warn us about fire drills and stuff coming from the raytheon building .7 miles away according to mapquest and then i went home and was curious as to what they built there and i found out they make missiles and defense systems.... im sure they make not so lethal stuff also but are there any laws that make sure they are certain distance away from schools or are they exempt cause they are a gov. contractor?
