There was some confusion about my earlier post (two posts back, the one about 'good muslims'), and a member was kind enough to bring it to my
attention.
I was NOT trying to say that Islam is the correct religion, and Christianity is in any way inferior. I was NOT trying to say that all (or even most)
Christians commit evil acts.
I WAS trying to say that any person who claims to be a Christian or a Muslim, who rapes, or murders, or blows themselves up is a fraud. No real
Christian or Muslim would commit acts of terrorism, and the ones who do commit acts of terrorism either suffer from a serious misunderstanding when it
comes to the teachings of their respective prophets, or they are using an association with the religion to somehow justify their horrific behavior.
It cannot be justified.
I don't care what religion you are, and frankly, I doubt God does either - a murderer is a murderer, and a rapist is a rapist. We are defined by our
deeds, not our words, not whatever label we've chosen to stick on ourselves.
I hope that clears up my position, and I want to thank the member again, for letting me know that I was not as clear in my earlier post as I could
have been. I don't want to put his name down here, in case he would object, but in any case, I thank him.
