It is amazing to me that anyone still believes an ounce of the Warren Commission's findings that Lee Harvey Oswald acted by himself in the killing of JFK. All one has to do is study the background of Oswald and the whole official story falls apart. Here is an excellent analysis of the debate.

Forty Years Of Lies
By John Chuckman
11-12-3

"If, as we are told, Oswald was the lone assassin, where is the issue of national security?"
--Bertrand Russell

Bertrand Russell's penetrating question, one of sixteen he asked at the time of the Warren Commission Report, remains unanswered after forty years. That should trouble Americans, but then again there are many things around national secrecy today that should trouble Americans.

The most timely lesson to be taken from the fortieth anniversary of President Kennedy's assassination concerns secrecy and the meaning of democracy in the world's most powerful nation. Perhaps no event better demonstrates the existence of two governments in the United States, the one people elect and another, often far more influential, as capable of imposing false history about large events as the fabled Ministry of Truth.

Since the time of the Warren Commission we have had the investigation of the House Select Committee and, in the last decade, the release of truckloads of previously-secret documents.

These documents were suppressed originally in the name of national security, but the fact is, despite their release, much of their content is heavily blacked out, and dedicated researchers know many documents remain unreleased, particularly documents from the CIA and military intelligence. Would any reasonable person conclude anything other than that those documents are likely the most informative and sensational?

Was it ever reasonable to believe that material of that nature would be included in document releases? Just a few years ago, records of some of the CIA's early Cold War activities, due for mandated release, were suddenly said to have "disappeared," and that declaration was pretty much the end of the story for a press regularly puffing itself as the fourth estate of American society. You do not have to believe in wild plots to recognize here the key to the Warren Commission's shabby job of investigation. As it was, several members of the Commission expressed private doubts about the main finding of Oswald as lone assassin.

Those particular lies may only be 40 years old, but the lying itself has been going on since the dawn of civilization (at least)...

...Check out the story of Future Shock once I can get it posted in the Website Related Discussion forum...If you can access the Really Above Top Secret (RATS) forum, you can read version 1 of it there. Once Advisor gets it deleted, I'll be posting v1.1.

That's the problem with politics in America...Right wing or Left wing doesn't matter anymore. The two extremes have built up a "status quo" that has slowly ruined this country. We need moderates who are willing to treat government positions as they were meant to be--Civil service jobs. The extremists have been treating the government as a self-service job for too long & it's time for a change that doesn't force The People to cuddle up to either edge.

...It's a long drop if we allow them to push us over the edge (either edge)...

Right, left, who gives a shyte? We should be so far beyond partisan politics post-9-11.. but so few seem to get it. Americans are so controlled through the false right/left model of American politics. It's the Hegelian dialectic at work. What's that? The puppet master is holding the right in one hand and left in the other.. He creates the argument and diverts attention away from the actual very important goings on. How bout for once we start choosing leaders who espouse the agenda of common sense rather than tired-azz, lame, partisan rhetoric?

Here we have friends of LBJ's family on CNN attacking the History Channel's very excellent three-hour set of documentaries titled: "The Men Who Killed JFK." The mainstream media and government will never get it through their thick, ignorant skulls that to believe in the lonegunman, magic bullet theory is to be fukken braindead. WE WILL NOT REST UNTIL THE TRUTH IS TOLD!

Here's a great article:

LBJ aides say JFK documentary a smear
Film alleges Johnson had role in JFK assassination
Thursday, November 20, 2003 Posted: 10:46 AM EST (1546 GMT)

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- A television documentary claiming Lyndon B. Johnson helped plot the Kennedy assassination was condemned as an absurd smear by Johnson's family and former staff members.

A History Channel film that aired Monday alleges that then-Vice President Johnson and members of his staff were responsible for President Kennedy's 1963 killing, said LBJ Foundation Chairman Tom Johnson, no relation to the former president.

"I do not know of a greater injustice to the reputation of a former president -- especially to be on The History Channel," Tom Johnson, who worked in the Johnson White House, said in an interview Tuesday.

He and Jack Valenti, another former Johnson staff member and current president of the Motion Picture Association of America, issued a joint statement on behalf of the Johnson family and others.

"Sadly, President Johnson and the staff members who are wrongly smeared by the conspiracy theorists are no longer alive to defend themselves," the statement said. "In televising this production, The History Channel has distorted history beyond recognition."

Here's what Nixon had to say about the Warren Commission (from conversations recorded in the oval office):

Referring to the report by the Warren Commission, "it was the greatest hoax that has ever been perpetuated," Nixon said. He did not elaborate why he questioned the report.
