Not sure if this is to sell more tickets,or if its hollywood's way of trying to spread a few facts.Either way its interesting to see this being mentioned in a big main stream movie.

It was the put options that got peoples attention, not buying and selling of stocks.

Don't forget that it is just a movie. And a remake of an older Bond movie at that

True, but a trivial correction, as one would make money just the same. The options drew a LOT of attention, too, at least at first, and so they were never claimed.
