i was wondering what useful extensions people have found. i've found a few, but i'm always checking for updates and new stuff. the ones i use are:

noscript:
a must have - this blocks so many freakin pop-ups it's not even funny. i guess it also keep you safe as hell too.

adblock plus:
another must have. you can use pre-generated libraries of things to block, removing ads from most sites and making the internet much more user-friendly.

unofficial myspace toolbar:
i'm a big fat nerd, and this makes it easy.

Answers:
ever find yourself wondering just what the hell that word means? right click it, and there you go.

Flashgot:
i guess it's supposed to make downloads faster, but i've found that i don't really download much.

foxytunes:
i use this thing ALL the time. no more switching between windows to mess around with your media player.

gmail notifier:
another program i wouldn't be without. this keeps me from checking my email every 15 seconds.

leetkey:
did i mention how big of a nerd i am?

performancing:
just got this one yesterday, it looks as if it's gonna make blogging a lot easier. i'm an emo nerd.

torrent search toolbar:
YARRR!!!

and my preferred theme as of late is Old Factory, although I occasionally switch back to pimpzilla. i'm waited for the redshift version that works with firefox 2 to come out.

of course, if anyone comes out with a fallout theme, i can just go ahead and get rid of all the others.

so how about it? what extensions have you found useful? what themes do you prefer?

i use greasemonkey, but i'm 99% positive that i don't really use it properly. are there any scripts you'd recommend, and do i have to manually enter every site i plan on using the script in?

My three favorites are as follows, in order:

Flashblock - replaces all flash objects with a play button, allowing you to block ads while allowing videos and helpful plugins.

TargetAlert - shows you an icon next to all hyperlinks.

Viamatic foXpose - previews all tabs in a single tab, kind of like the feature on IE7

One of the extensions I use, and recommend to slow dialup users, is "FasterFox"

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I think it tweaks your connection settings, and optimizes cache handling.

Also TabmixPlus, as mentioned above.

I would like to use Greasemonkey, but with lack of any instructions, my attempts to use it were futile. I wanted to use it to compliment the new Dark Matter theme here on ATS. Any suggestions??

All-in-One Gestures - I just love mouse gestures.
FootieFox - For anyone that has a need to keep up with soccer/football from the World Cup to Major League Soccer to Barclays Premiership.
User Agent Switcher - Because some sites stupidly discriminate according to the reported browser.
Tab Catalog - Thumbnails for tabs--not that I use it very often. I just think it's neat.

eQuake is pretty cool. I just installed it.

It reads the USGS RSS feeds and displays the MAG and location of any earthquakes worldwide as they occur down in the lower corner of your browser.

The coolest thing is it shakes your browser relative to the MAG. I have seen a couple 5's today but I would love to see how bad a 7 or 8 vibrates my browser. Maybe it flies off the screen for all I know.

I use:
Adblock
Thunderbird email for my website.
Red cats (green flavour) as a theme. (I love kitties)
I wish I could get a tuxedo cat theme.
I used to use silver skin but it wasn't updated.
TOR button.
Fasterfox.

I've been using firefox for a long time, it boggles my mind why some people have never tried it.
