hi there folks,

i have just renewed my uk passport,
when i got it back this week i noticed it has a RFID chip and what looks like an aerial,

can anyone confirm this is an aerial , does anyone know what i am talking about ?

Yes, that's it - the first phase of biometric passports. I got mine back in the suimmer and they will all be issued this way from now on.
