Yet again, we see in the US authorities a protectionism which reaches far beyond the realm of logic and which defies common sense, indicating a clique-ridden and inept administration which prefers to see its citizens die than to admit that a Russian aircraft could have done the job faster and better.

gvrnmnt....this is one of the rare occasions when they werent actually involved in this? i have reason to believe it was probably some low-life official with the whole situation going to his head....a proposal from the RUSKIS seemed like an insult at a time of hardship...
