Could Ghosts be Visions of Ourselves Reincarnated?

I was recently conversing with a friend who mentioned that he believed that ghosts were actually visions of us reincarnated. His belief was that from time to time, if we are receptive enough, we can catch glimpses of what we will be after we are reincarnated.

For example, if you see a ghost of a lady dressed in what appears to be late 18th century clothing, you will be reincarnated as a woman and at some point during your reincarnated life, you may attend a Halloween costume party where you dress up in an 18th century costume, or you may be an actor in a movie where you portray a lady from the 18th century, etc..

I suppose it could be possible, but I have to admit that I still consider spirits, ghosts etc. to be entities of people who have lived in the past.

I found this theory interesting, and am curious to hear your thoughts on this.

As a spiritual medium of many years, I would like to address your question.

People on the Other Side have the ability to project images of themselves and of places and probable events into those in the flesh. It is done telepathically. That is why traditionally psychic abilities are referred to as Gifts of the Spirit.

But to state that every vision of an apparition is indicative of a future life of oneself would not be accurate. Many on the Other Side send out many visions and many messages, with varied reasons.

The future is always in a state of flux, with some events being possible and others being probable. So it is very difficult to get an accurate vision about a future life as that could greatly alter as time goes on. On the other hand, the past is indeed set in stone and is unchanging.

A basic approach to glean insight from Spirit is to sincerely pray for spiritual guidance every night. The wording is not as important as the emotion behind the inquiry.

Then take note of your dreams, as they will eventually contain an answer to your question.

So if you want to get a glimpse about who you were in a former lifetime, pray about it and be receptive to getting the answer.

Prayer is talking to God and meditation is listening to God.

Be careful what you wish for and ask about, as you may indeed get insight that you may not be ready to handle.
