Nuclear Secrets Stolen-And You Won't Believe Who! With Video

If this wasn't so serious it would be comical!

(CBS News) The recent security breach at Los Alamos National Laboratory was very serious, with sensitive materials being taken out of the facility -- possibly including information on how to deactivate locks on nuclear weapons, officials tell CBS News.

OH GOODNESS NO!!!! BY WHO? RUSSIA?, ISRAEL?, NOT A ROGUE ISLAMIC COUNTRY!! WHO?

As CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson was first to report, secret documents apparently taken from the lab were found during a drug raid at a Los Alamos-area home last month. The FBI was called in to investigate.

The woman believed to have taken the information -- the owner of the trailer -- worked in three classified vault rooms across Los Alamos:

Oh. Well that explains it. This woman who lives in the trailer, had access to these areas:

• Safeguards and Security (relating to strategic nuclear material control and accountability)
• X-Division (top secret)
• Physics P-Division.

The woman had top secret "Q-clearance" with access to all the U.S. underground nuclear test data. Additionally, she had "Sigma 15" clearance, which allows her access to info on how to deactivate locks on nuclear weapons.

For example, if a terrorist steals an American nuclear weapon, he could not detonate it due to the special access controls. This woman is authorized to read the reports that tell how to get around those safety controls.

And then takes them home to her trailer! What the hell is going on at Los Alamos?

Remember, if it wasn't for the DRUG RAID, (God knows what all THAT was about), these materials would have never been found!

This whole story doesn't pass the smell test.I think she was setup to cover who was really allowed to steal them.Why would a janitor have that kind of clearance to highly classified " Information". I could see having clearances to classified areas to clean rooms but other than that It doesn't make sense.If it is true,the whole security situation there needs a serious overhaul

I agree- someone of her stature never should have access to our most protected secrets.

If the alien agenda has been so succesfully kept secret, and nuclear secrets are just as much protected, it DOES make you think that this was allowed to happen as a cover.

this story will disappear quickly.A quick end to that story.It really makes me shudder anyone could be so callous in framing someone.That person probably thought they had won the lottery in getting that job.Little did they know they were being setup as a patsy

Umm, where does this say anything about her being a janitor? I don't remember reading that in the report. Besides, NO Janitor would ever have that much access, because they do NOT have a Need to Know!

All classified information in the US is handled on the strict bases of Need to Know Only! That means you can have a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmental Information clearance with all the bells and whistles and special access tabs you can carry. Now if you find a confidential document on the table in front of you, unless you have Need to Know, you have NO right to handle or read the document.
