This picture was taken in the outflow of the Matrefjord in Norway 1. Oktober.
The 'ball' was approximately 50-70 cm in diameter and was transparent except for a red string in the middle. It had three excrescences and rebounded
when the diver squeezed it. Senior scientific officer at the university in Bergen, Torleiv Brattegård, says that the ball most likely has a organic
origin. One theory is that the jellyball is from more southern, and warmer, parts of the world and has turned up in Norway because of rising water
temperatures.
