......they get lifetime golden parachute retirement plans, which is paid for out of the US General Fund.
What if they were on the same type of plan as everyone else? Would they fix the mess that Social Security is in now? What motivation do they have, the way things are? They are rich forever, no matter what.

...But they can vote themselves a payraise whenever they want...Even though that's against the Constitution.

Politics in the states is fubar. Everytime I see on the news that, "The repuplicans have control of the senate," or,"the democrats have won control of congress." I want to puke

Aren't they supposed to be working togethor? Isn't this supposed to be a government for the people? When I see the results of voting on certain bills it's almost funny. Seems that if the republicans are all for it then all the "no" votes are democrat and vica versa. Sometimes I think they disagree with each other for the simple fact that they are in another party. The party system is screwed.

As for them not paying ss tax well that doesn't surprise me a bit at all. Nothing about this political system does. I try not to get angry about it. Just breathe and move on.

Well of course they don't have to pay social security, what did you think... that this is a government of the people by the people?? Senators and Congressmen aren't mere U.S. citizens, they are much above us!
