Russia has warned the United States over its missile defence system near its borders

A Russian general quoted by daily newspaper Izvestia said Moscow would view the deployment of US missiles in eastern and central Europe as a security threat and would take retaliatory measures.

I wonder if this is why thay have been so quite about northkorean sanstions thus far? IM looking for more links know.

They can warn all they want, but they are not helping when they are developing new and better ICBM's.

great find slayerfan.will be interesting to see how this one plays out.needless to say the russians are already unhappy about nato eastward expansion.

In the declaration, Vietnam supported Putin's stance on U.S. missile defense while the Russian president said Hanoi wanted to buy new Russian armaments.


This followed remarks made by Putin in Seoul on Wednesday in which he described the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty as the "root and trunk" of world security, and said that U.S. proposals for a missile defense system would violate the treaty.




Russian President Vladimir Putin is hoping to create some momentum in his fight against a proposed American missile defence system, telling South Koreans that world security is at stake.

Im starting to think the abm treaty should be renegoitated or scraped.There are many new players now then when treaty was created.
