Is justice Worth going to jail for?

A female friend of mine's relative was raped last weekend

Would it be worth it for me to beat this guy within an inch of his very life?
Or is getting arrested not worth it.

I think it's more then Worth it.

I understand how you feel, and how you want to rip the guy apart,

but that's not going to do your friend any good, she needs you to be there for her right now and she has a rocky road ahead,

you harming him could also lessen any action that would be taken by the police against him,

I suggest you help your friend get the help she needs and report t the police to prevent this man doing this to anyone else,

think smart, not hot headed,

Just beating the guy up for this female friend won't do any sort of good. Let your justice system, i. e. police and the courts of law do there thing. I know that someone close to you had this vile act perpatrated on them, but do you really want to go to jail for dishing out some vigilante justice?

Im sure you want to be there to protect her,

Yeah thats a tuff one man. I know you would want to kill him but it would be better to let the law handle it, IMO.

i realized that me being 16 it would be very hard for them to put me away for any period of time.. And I don't know how well the system would do putting this guy away because I don't know of any solid evidence against him.
