Rework to lake bed???

I was just cruising with GE, when I noticed a new layer option "Digital Globe Coverage", which shows info for the photo taken, such as date etc, it also includes a link to the original picture. With this enabled I went to Area51, and clicked one of the icons (dated 17th Jan 2006), it shows the base in all it's glory, but the lake bed has some areas which have been 'dug up'.





Anyone got any idea as to what is going on???

I don't see what you are talking about... maybe about those brown spots?

Those brown spots are just areas filled with water from rainstorms.

Yes I was on about the brown marks on the lake bed, in all other pictures I have seen it is solid white. Please excuse my ignornace.
